Raj Trading Corporation

Raj Trading Corporation is tucked away in Village Markal, which is part of the Khed Tehsil. We aren't too far from the Pune Nagar Road, so we get a lot of trucks and transport passing near us. Life in the village is a bit slower than the city, but we still keep a heavy schedule. Our place is basically where the road meets the fields. We deal with a lot of movement every day. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are always dusting off the counters. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have a fancy reception or a person in a suit greeting you. You’ll probably find us out back or near the loading area. Being in Markal means we know most of the farmers and transporters around here. We’ve been at this spot for quite a bit of time now. The office is small and filled with ledgers and stacks of receipts. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon slump. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we have some staff helping out. We like being near Pune but staying out here in the district. It gives us space to move. People know us by word of mouth mostly. We don’t spend money on big posters. We just do the trading work and try to get home before it gets too dark.
