Hari Ram & Sons

We are over in Lohara Khas, a place called Hari Ram & Sons. It is a family thing, obviously, and has been for a couple of generations now. My grandfather started it, then my father took over, and now we are the ones keeping it going. The building is old and shows its age in a few places, like the creaky floorboards and the way the door sticks in the humid weather. We don't mind it much. It feels like home after all these years. Most of the people around here know us by name. We don't do much advertising because news travels fast enough in this neighborhood. The work we do isn't glamorous. It involves a lot of lifting and getting our hands dirty most days. We have some old machines that we have to fix ourselves because nobody else knows how they work anymore. It is just a routine. We show up, drink some tea, and get to it. Sometimes we stay late if there is a big job, but mostly we try to be done by sunset. The street outside is quiet most of the time, which is nice. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate. If it worked for my dad, it works for us. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. Our dog usually sits by the front gate and watches the world go by. It is just how things are around here.
