We are located out on NH-6, right by the Kona Power Substation in Chamrail. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy machinery in the air. Our facility isn't something out of a magazine; it's a working foundry where things get hot and dirty. We deal with iron and casting, so the floors are usually covered in sand and metal scraps. The heat near the furnaces is pretty intense, especially during the summer months when the West Bengal humidity kicks in. We’ve got a large yard where the raw materials are kept, and trucks are constantly pulling in and out from the highway. The noise from the power substation next door blends in with our own machines. We don't have a fancy office block, just a small cabin where we keep the records and handle the logistics. Most of the men here have been working with metal for years, so they know the smells and sounds of a good pour. It’s heavy work and at the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. We focus on getting the shapes right and making sure the metal is solid. It’s a gritty life but it’s what we do.
