Maya - foundations

Maya - foundations is situated on 2nd Cross Street in Levingipuram, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu 628003, India. We’ve been here in this part of the state for quite a while now. Dealing with foundations in a place like this means you have to understand the local ground and the salty air that comes off the coast. Our office is a functional space, mostly used for storing our plans and having quick meetings before we head out to a site. It’s often quite hot, so we have the fans going all day and keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze we can. The team is made up of local people who have a lot of practical experience. We don't really use much marketing or promotional stuff. Most of our work comes from people seeing what we’ve done on other sites. Levingipuram is a decent neighborhood, and being on 2nd Cross Street makes it easy for us to move our equipment in and out. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a person to answer the phones; if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. It’s a very informal way of running things, but it works for us. We spend most of our time out in the sun, so the office is really just a home base for the paperwork side of things. We just focus on getting the foundations right and move on to the next job when it's done. That’s our routine here in Thoothukudi.
