Windhorse Expeditions India

Our office is on the first floor in the Zangsti area, right across from Dzomsa and close to the Hemis Complex. Windhorse Expeditions India has been operating out of this part of Leh Ho for a while now. It’s a busy little corner of town, especially in the summer when everyone is getting their gear ready for the mountains. We spend most of our days talking to guides and checking on camping equipment like tents and stoves. Being in Leh Ladakh means you have to be ready for anything because the weather changes in five minutes. We aren't a big corporate company; we are just a small group of people who like being outdoors. Most of us grew up in the valleys around here, so we know which trails are good for walking and which ones are too steep for most folks. We don't do much fancy advertising; people usually just find us by walking up the stairs or hearing about us from someone else. The office is usually filled with maps and half-packed bags because there is always someone heading out or coming back from a trip. We try to make sure everyone knows what they are getting into before they head out into the high passes. It’s a tough landscape, but it’s home for us. We just take things one day at a time and help out where we can. There is always someone around if you need to ask a question.
