The Yeti Bureau

You can find The Yeti Bureau inside the Hotel Kangri building. We have a small space there in Leh Ho. Being part of the hotel makes it easy for people to find us when they arrive. Ladakh is a rugged place and we have lived here all our lives. We don't really have a big corporate setup. It is more like a room where we sit and talk about trips. The 194101 area is where everything happens in Leh. Some days are very quiet, especially when it is snowing outside and nobody wants to leave their house. We have a wooden desk and some old files. It is not the most organized place in the world but we know where everything is kept. We started The Yeti Bureau because we like being around the mountains. It is a simple life here in Leh Ladakh. We don't use a lot of fancy words or try to act like we are bigger than we are. Most of the people who stop by are just looking for directions or asking about the weather. We stay busy enough throughout the year. The Hotel Kangri is a well-known spot, so it helps with giving people our address. We are just local people doing our jobs and trying to stay warm during the long winters. It is a good way to spend the time. There is always something to talk about when it comes to the mountains and the trails around here.
