The Mighty Himalaya

The Mighty Himalaya is based over at Hemiscomplex in the Zangsti Leh area. It’s a busy part of town, especially when the tourists start arriving in the spring. We have been in this spot for a good while, and most of us grew up around these mountains. The office in Leh Ho is where we spend our days, mostly answering phones and drinking butter tea while we wait for the sun to warm up the room. Zangsti is an old part of Leh, so the streets are narrow and you see a lot of local life happening right outside the door. Our address is 194101, and if you find yourself at the complex, you can just look for our sign. We aren't a big company with a lot of departments. It is just a handful of us who know the routes to the high lakes and the valleys. We don’t spend much on advertising because word of mouth usually keeps us busy enough. Sometimes the winter is long and things get quiet, but that gives us time to fix up the place. People stop by to ask about permits or just to see how the weather is looking for their trip. We tell them what we know from the drivers who just came back. It’s a practical way to run things, and it keeps life interesting for us here in the mountains.
