Tara Voyage

Tara Voyage is located in Leh Ho, right here in the 194101 area. We are a small group of locals who have been working in the mountains for years. We don't have a fancy office with glass walls. It’s just a room with some maps and some sturdy chairs. We spend a lot of time thinking about the routes and the weather. Ladakh is a tough place if you don’t know it well. We grew up here, so we understand the mountains. We don't use a lot of marketing talk. We just focus on the work. Every day we see people coming to Leh for the first time, and they look a bit overwhelmed by the height. We just tell them to take it slow and drink plenty of water. We handle the logistics so they don’t have to worry about it. It’s a very hands-on business. We are often out checking the cars or talking to the mechanics. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy. Everyone does a bit of everything. Sometimes I am answering the phone, and other times I am helping load bags. It’s just how we do things here. We like the simple life in Leh. We don’t need much else as long as the roads are open and the sun is shining. It's about getting from one place to another without a fuss. We keep our boots by the door and our minds on the road ahead.
