The Hill Top Building is where we spend our days, right in the Main Bazar of Leh. You can see the mountains clearly when the sky is blue, which is most of the time up here. Snowyoda Pvt. Ltd. isn't a very old name in this area, but we've settled in quite well. The air is thin and it gets quite cold, especially in the mornings when we first unlock the door. We have some heaters that we keep running so we can actually type on our keyboards without our fingers freezing up. The market outside is always full of tourists and locals buying stuff, so there is a lot of noise coming up from the street. Our office has a few desks and a bunch of cables running across the floor because we are always adding something new. We drink a lot of butter tea or just plain coffee to stay awake during the slow afternoons. It's a quiet kind of work compared to the hustle of the market below. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just enough for people to find us if they are looking. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s just how things go in Leh. We like the view from the window more than the work sometimes, but we get things done regardless of how cold it is outside. It’s a simple life at the top of the town and we are happy to be part of it.
