Peregrine Destinations

Peregrine Destinations is located on the first floor of the Chokhang Complex right in the heart of Leh. You have to walk up some narrow stairs to find us, but once you are here, you get a decent view of the street below. It gets pretty loud during the peak season with all the honking and people walking by, but we like the energy. We have been working from this spot for a while now. Most days are spent talking to drivers and making sure the cars are ready for the long trips out to Nubra or Pangong. It is a lot of coordination, and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned because of the road conditions or a sudden snowfall. We just take it as it comes. We aren't a big corporation with shiny brochures. Our desks are a bit messy, and there’s always a kettle of tea going in the corner. People stop by to ask for directions or just to chat about the weather. We know the local routes well because we grew up around here. Ladakh is a tough place to live if you aren't used to the thin air, but for us, it is just home. We keep the office open pretty late during the summer months when the sun stays up. If the lights are on, we are probably inside working on some paperwork or talking to a traveler who just got back from a trek.
