Nazir Enterprises

Our business, Nazir Enterprises, is located right in the Main Market of Matho Village. Being up here in Chuchot Tehsil within the Leh Ladakh District means we have to deal with some pretty intense weather, especially when winter comes around. Life in the village is slow and mostly follows the changing seasons. Our shop is a simple place where we keep the essentials and handle our daily business tasks. We are not some big fancy firm from the city. We are just local people working in the market. In the summer, the village gets much more active with visitors and farmers, but in the winter, it is mostly just us locals keeping things going. We spend a lot of time sitting by the heater when it gets really cold outside. The view of the mountains from the market is something we probably take for granted because we see it every day. We know almost everyone in Matho Village, so work often feels more like helping out our neighbors. We do not have a website or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes by to visit. Sometimes we have to travel down to Leh for supplies or to sort out our paperwork. It is a quiet existence compared to the big cities. We handle a bit of everything the village needs.
