We've been at Shop 22 in the Hemis Complex for a while now. It's up on Upper Tukcha Road in Leh. If you know where the Zangsti area is, we're right around there. Our group is mostly local women from Ladakh. We know these mountains pretty well because we grew up here. It gets cold, and the air is thin, but we're used to it. People come by the office to talk about trekking or just to see what’s possible in the region. We don't have a big fancy setup, just a small space where we organize things. Some days are busier than others, especially when the passes open up and the sun finally stays out for a bit. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone wants to see the monasteries or walk the trails, we tell them how it really is. Sometimes the weather doesn't behave, or a road gets blocked by rocks, and that's just life in Ladakh. We handle the logistics and make sure the guides are ready. It's not always easy work, but we like being outside and showing people the spots we grew up near. Drop by if you're in the market area, we're usually around during the day. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, away from the main noise of the town center. We just do our job and hope folks enjoy the quiet of the hills like we do.
