Ladakh Frontier Travel

We are located near the Namgyal Palace Hotel in Leh. Most people find us easily because that hotel is a pretty well-known landmark in this part of town. Ladakh Frontier Travel is basically just a local office where we organize trips for anyone coming through the 194101 area. We aren't a corporate chain. It’s a small-scale thing. We deal with the daily realities of mountain travel, like bad weather and long drives. Our spot is close to the main action but quiet enough to get work done. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and checking on the conditions of the high passes. It isn’t always easy work, especially when the winter starts to set in. We don't have a fancy lobby. There are just some desks and some old maps on the walls. We’ve been around Leh for quite a bit. You get used to the pace of life here. Some days are hectic with tourists, and other days we just sit and wait for the phones to ring. We focus on getting the paperwork right and making sure the vehicles are ready. If you are staying at the hotels nearby, you’ve likely walked past our door already. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just help people get from one point to another in Ladakh. It's a simple life up here in the hills.
