Our office is down on Helipad Road in Lawngtlai, near the SSB Colony and Kamla Nagar II. If you know Lawngtlai, you know it is quite a long journey to get here, and it is even harder to get construction materials delivered from the bigger cities. We deal with building projects in this part of southern Mizoram. It is a lot of work out in the sun, and the roads around here can be pretty rough, especially during the long monsoon months. We are not a massive company with a huge fleet of trucks or anything. Usually, it is just us and a few local laborers trying to get a foundation poured or a brick wall built. We have to be pretty resourceful because you cannot just run to a big store and buy whatever you need; you have to plan everything weeks ahead. The area around Bajeisora and Chawngte is where we spend a lot of our time on site. It is quiet out here compared to the bustle of Aizawl, but the work is just as hard on the back. We do not have any polished marketing or a website or anything like that. We are just a group of people who know how to build things in this specific terrain. Sometimes the weather stops us for days, or a truck gets stuck on the road from the city. You just learn to be patient. We take it one day at a time.
