Vivekanand Hospital And Research Centre

Down here on Kalamb Road in the MIDC part of Latur, our hospital has a lot going on every day. It’s actually a research center too, so you might see students or people studying things in the back rooms. Being in the industrial area means we get a mix of factory workers and people coming in from the villages further down the road. The road outside can get pretty dusty and loud with all the trucks passing by, but inside we try to keep things organized. It’s a large plot, P-55, so there is plenty of room for different departments. We’ve seen the area change a lot since we first set up. The research side of things means we sometimes have equipment that other small clinics around here don’t have. It’s a practical setup. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’d rather have the machines working right and the beds ready. The doctors stay busy with their rounds, and the nursing staff mostly comes from Latur town. It’s a long day for everyone, especially when the outpatient department gets packed on Monday mornings. We just focus on getting through the patient list and making sure nobody leaves without getting looked at. It’s a straightforward operation for the local community and the folks working in the MIDC factories. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
