Vikas Gramin Foundation

Our foundation, Vikas Gramin Foundation, is based out in Chakur. If you are looking for us, we are at 381 C/O Peth Mohalla. It is a small place, not like the big offices you see in the cities. We have been here for a while now, working on various things that come up in the village and the surrounding areas. The office is basically just a room where we keep our records and meet people. It's simple, just some benches and a table. We don't have any flashy signs or anything. Most people in the Taluqa know where Peth Mohalla is, so they find us easily enough. We spend a lot of our time out and about, so the office is mostly for the morning and evening. There is usually someone around to answer questions or help with forms. It gets dusty in the summer and a bit muddy when it rains, but that is just how it is here. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just do the work that needs doing for the folks around Chakur. It’s a lot of talking to people and trying to figure out how to help with small problems. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who grew up here and know the land. It’s quiet work, but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset most days of the week.
