Our office is right in the heart of the Latur Market Yard, just near the DCC Bank. If you know Latur, you know how busy the Market Yard gets, especially during the harvest months when everyone brings their crops in. There are trucks everywhere and people shouting out prices since early in the morning. We deal in commodities, which basically means we are part of that daily rush. Our spot at 1/1B is small, but it is right where the action is. We spend our days watching the trucks come in and out and keeping track of the prices on the boards. It is a noisy place to work, but it keeps you from getting bored. We do not have fancy air conditioning or quiet meeting rooms for guests. We usually just talk to people standing out front or over a quick cup of chai from the stall nearby. It is the kind of business where you need to know who is who. We have been here for a while and seen the market change over the years as things get more modern. Some seasons are better than others, of course. We just try to keep the business steady so we can pay the bills. Most of our work is making sure the grain or whatever we are handling gets to the right place without any issues. It is simple, hard work, and we are fine with that. Latur is a big hub for this kind of thing, and we are just one small part of the whole local machine.
