Shivshahi Masala Industries

Shivshahi Masala Industries is tucked away near the Ruby Hotel in the MIDC area. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of noise and movement. You can hear the machines from the neighboring plots all day long. But here, the main thing you notice is the smell. It’s strong and hits you the moment you get close to our gate. We spend our days grinding and mixing spices. It’s dusty work, and your clothes always end up smelling like cumin or chili by the time you go home. The Ruby Hotel is a good spot for people to find us since the roads in MIDC can get a bit confusing with all the similar-looking buildings. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just the heavy grinders and the bags of raw spices piled up to the ceiling. The floor is concrete and we try to keep it as clean as possible, but with masala, it’s a constant battle. We have a small crew and we’ve all been doing this for years. Sometimes we sit outside for a break when the sun isn't too hot. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a few of us making sure the batches are right. We don't use any fancy tech, just the same machines that have served us well. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening when we finally lock up the heavy metal shutters and go home.
