Our business is located in Rameshwar, which is in the Latur district. We operate out of the place belonging to Ramesh Kashiram Karad. Sugars are the main thing we deal with here. Latur is known for its sugarcane, so it makes sense for us to be right in the middle of it all. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the local growers and managing the sugar processing. It is a very hands-on job and things can get quite dusty and sticky around the facility. Rameshwar is a small place and the work follows the seasons of the sugar crop. When it is harvest time, we are working long hours to keep up with the amount of cane coming in. We don't have any big speeches or mission statements. We just focus on the sugar and making sure it gets moved to where it needs to go. The setup is quite basic, just a local operation run by people who have lived in this area for a long time. Working at Ramesh Karad’s place feels natural because it is right in the heart of the community. We use simple tools and traditional methods where we can. It’s not a fancy life, but it is steady work that keeps us connected to the land in Latur. We are just a small part of the big sugar industry in Maharashtra, doing our bit from this little corner of Rameshwar.
