Our branch is located at Somnathpur in the Udgir area of Latur district. We are set up in a space looked after by Baburao Damargidde. It is a rural setting, so things are a lot quieter here than in the big cities like Pune or Mumbai. We do a lot of construction projects around this part of Maharashtra. The office is basically a few rooms where we keep our ledgers and some basic equipment. It gets quite dusty because of the dry weather in Latur, so we are always dusting off the tables. We don't have a lot of fancy technology. Most of our coordination happens over the phone or by just driving out to see the workers. The people here are hardworking and we have a good relationship with the local suppliers. Sometimes we have to wait a while for materials to arrive from the city, which can be frustrating. We don't have a cafeteria, so we just go to the local dhaba or eat at our desks. It is a very practical way of living and working. We are just a group of people trying to get these projects finished on time. The building we are in is nothing special to look at, but it serves its purpose. We know the roads around Udgir like the back of our hands now after all these years of work. It is just the way we have always done things.
