Matrushakti Mahila Foundation

We are located at Plot Number 69 in the MIDC area of Latur. Matrushakti Mahila Foundation is run by women who just wanted to have a space of our own to work from. Being in the industrial zone means there is always a lot of activity around us. You can hear trucks and machines from the neighboring plots all day long. Our office is not very large, but it is enough for what we need. We spend a lot of time sitting around the main table talking through our plans. It is a very hands-on place. We do not use a lot of fancy software or corporate talk. We just speak plainly and try to help the women in this part of Maharashtra. Latur is our home, and we know the problems people face here. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather is dry. We keep a few folders with all our documents and try to stay as organized as we can. It is a lot of hard work, but we enjoy being together. We have been at this plot for a bit, and people in the MIDC know where to find us. It is not a polished operation, but it is real and it is ours. We just keep showing up every morning and doing what needs to be done.
