Ltrs Women Small Business Development Association

Our association is in Latur, at house number 5147 in the Maharana Pratap area. We are very close to the Hanuman Temple, which is where we tell everyone to look for us. This place is all about supporting women who are trying to run small businesses. Latur has a lot of hardworking women, and we wanted to give them a space to connect. The office is not very big. It’s a few rooms with some tables and chairs. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. People just come in and we sit down to talk. We offer advice based on what we’ve learned ourselves. Sometimes we have a lot of women here at once, and it gets quite loud and busy. Other times it’s just one or two of us catching up on paperwork. We don't have any corporate funding or big sponsors. We just manage with what we have. The temple bells and the traffic outside are a constant background noise. It’s a very local, grassroots kind of place. We aren't trying to be a big business school or anything. We just want to help the women in our neighborhood make their small shops or services a bit better. We focus on practical things like how to manage money or find customers. It’s honest work that we do right here in the heart of Latur.
