Chaudhary Sign Arts

Our shop, Chaudhary Sign Arts, is right there on Ambajogai Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially near Old Renapur Naka. If you’re looking for us, we are right across from Hotel Dwarka. You can’t really miss the hotel, so it makes it easy to tell people where to find us. We spend a lot of time out front or in the back area working on different signs. It’s dusty work, and our clothes usually have some paint or glue on them by the end of the shift. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to keep the heat out. The area around Renapur Naka has changed a lot over the years, more shops opening up and more trucks passing by, but we’ve stayed in this same spot. We don't do much in terms of decorating the place; it's more about having enough space to lay out the big sign boards. Most of the time, the floor is covered in scraps and offcuts from whatever we are building. It’s a simple life here. We start when the sun comes up and usually pack up when the street lights on Ambajogai Road flicker on. There’s always someone stopping by to ask about a small job, and we just fit it in between the bigger stuff. It's just how it goes on this side of town.
