Oppo Bricks

Oppo Bricks is located over in Ward No. 2 in Chandwa. We are pretty easy to find if you head toward the Shiv Mandir; the temple is a big landmark for everyone in this part of town. Our mail goes to the Dahunawada post office, but we spend all our time here in the yard working the clay. It is a fairly simple operation. We wake up early to beat the heat and get the molding started. The ground stays pretty damp near the temple area sometimes, which changes how we have to dry the bricks. There is no big corporate philosophy here, just a lot of mud and hard work under the sun. We have a small crew and most of us live right nearby in Chandwa. On festival days, you can hear the bells from the Shiv Mandir all day long while we work. It makes for a nice atmosphere, even when the work is heavy. We usually have rows and rows of bricks laid out to dry across the open space. If the clouds look like rain, everyone has to hurry and cover things up with plastic sheets. It can be a bit chaotic when that happens, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. If you need us, you just come down to Ward 2 and look for the stacks. Most of the time someone is around to talk, unless we are right in the middle of a firing.
