Gates India Private Limited

We are located right on the Ambala Chandigarh Highway, in Village Sarsini Lalru. Gates India Private Limited is a big facility, and it feels quite different from the small shops nearby. Being on the highway means there is a constant flow of traffic and big trucks moving in and out of the gates. Inside, the floors are marked with yellow lines and everyone has to be careful where they walk. It’s a lot of industrial work, making parts that go into other machines. The noise from the production lines is something you just get used to after the first week. We have a lot of shifts, so the place never really sleeps. Even at night, the lights are on and people are busy at their stations. It’s a long commute for some of us coming from the city, but the work is steady. The canteen is where we all meet up to eat and complain about the heat in the summer. It’s a professional setup, but at the end of the day, it’s just a group of people trying to hit their numbers for the month. We don't really have many visitors except for the suppliers and the delivery drivers. It’s a massive operation compared to a village shop, but the daily grind of working and making sure everything runs right is the same as anywhere else in Lalru.
