Sadan Welfare Foundation

You can find us on College Road in Bartalla. We are located in the Surajgarha area of Lakhisarai. The office is at Alok Kumar's place. It’s a busy road because of the students and the shops nearby. We started this foundation because we saw a lot of things that needed fixing in the town. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who care about the neighborhood. The building is right there on the main stretch. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and stacks of papers. We deal with a lot of different welfare projects. Some are big and some are small. We don't really have a specialty, we just try to be useful. The humidity in Bihar can be tough during the monsoon, but we keep the fans going. People stop by to chat or to ask for help with government paperwork. We do our best to point them in the right direction. It’s a simple setup. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Word of mouth is how most people find out about Sadan Welfare. We’ve been here for a while and the community seems to trust us. We take things one day at a time. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but we manage. After the sun goes down, the street gets a bit quieter and that is when we usually finish up our filing and lock the front door for the night.
