Nandlal Enterprises

Our business, Nandlal Enterprises, is right in the middle of Purani Bazar. If you know the Thana Chowk area, we are just a stone's throw from there. The Shiv Durga Mandir is the main thing people look for when they are trying to find our shop. Being near a temple means we hear the bells and the prayers every morning and evening, which is actually quite nice to listen to while we work. The bazaar is always crowded with people buying vegetables or clothes, so it’s never really quiet here. We have a small space that is packed with stuff from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. The floor is old stone and the ceiling is high, which helps keep it cool when the sun is out. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people face to face. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little bit near the back door if it's a heavy storm. We just put a bucket there and carry on. It’s an old part of town, so the roads are narrow and parking is a nightmare. Most of our regulars just walk over. We've known the families around here for years. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the routine of the market and the people we see daily.
