Astha Samuh Educational Foundation

Astha Samuh Educational Foundation is over in Lakhisarai, at Naya Bazar. We’re right near the Bank of India, which is a very easy spot to find. Sri Uday Shankar is the one who helps us with the space. It’s a busy market area, so there is always a lot of noise and activity outside our door. We started this foundation to help out with education for the local kids. We aren't a big, polished organization. We’re just a small group of people who care about the neighborhood. Our office has some simple furniture and a lot of notebooks and papers. We spend our time meeting with families and helping students with their studies. It’s not a fancy job. We often have to move things around to make space for everyone. The walls have some old posters on them and the floor is a bit worn down. We don't mind. It feels like a real part of the town. We don't have a big website or a social media team. People just know us because they see us every day when they go to the bank. We’re just trying to do something useful here in Lakhisarai. It’s basic, honest work and we like it that way. One day at a time is how we handle things.
