Verma Mill Stores

I opened Verma Mill Stores here on Mela Maidan Road quite a while back. Being so close to the Railway Station Road means it is always loud and crowded outside. We stock a lot of different things, mostly for the mills and the local workshops that need spare parts. If a belt breaks or a bearing goes bad on a machine, people usually come over to see what we have on the shelves. It is a bit of a mess inside the shop sometimes because we have so many small bins filled with nuts, bolts, and specialized tools. I try to keep it organized, but when three or four people are waiting at the counter, things get moved around. My nephew helps me out on most days. We drink a lot of tea and look through old catalogs to find the right part numbers. The building at Plot No. 9 is not much to look at, but it stays dry and keeps the stock safe. We are not trying to be a big supermarket. It is just a hardware store where you can get what you need for your equipment. Some days are very slow, and we just sit and talk to the regulars who stop by. Other days, it seems like every pump in the area breaks at the same time. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just the shop and what we have in stock. If we don't have it, I can usually order it.
