You can find us at the DH complex on the Dholpur Simaluguri Road. We are specifically at No 3 Simaluguri in North Lakhimpur. It’s a decent spot, though the road out front can get pretty muddy when the monsoon hits. The complex has a few other shops and offices, so there’s usually some activity around the entrance. Our office is pretty basic with just the essentials—some chairs, a couple of desks, and a computer that’s seen better days. We spend a lot of our time going through files and making sure the entries are correct. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have a receptionist or anyone to greet people, so whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hi. Most of the people who come in are locals from around North Lakhimpur. We talk about the weather or the crops as much as we talk about business. It feels more like a community space sometimes. We don't have any polished speeches or fancy brochures to give out. We just explain things as they are. Sometimes we forget to turn off the lights when we leave, and the security guy has to remind us the next morning. It’s a very human place to work, with all the usual small mistakes and daily tea breaks that you’d expect from a local office. We hope to stay here for a long time.
