Ashish Hardware Store

If you find yourself on Mohammbi Road, look for Shop No.7. That is where Ashish Hardware Store is. We are tucked into Golagopura North, which is part of Dist. Lakhimpur Kheri. It is a solid area to have a shop. Hardware is one of those things where people usually come in knowing exactly what they need, or they have no idea and we have to figure it out together. The shelves are pretty full and sometimes it gets a bit dusty, but that is just how a hardware store is. Being in Lakhimpur Kheri means we get a lot of local folks. Mohammbi Road can get quite dusty when the trucks go past. We keep the shop open early because that is when the builders and the local guys are starting their day. Shop No.7 isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. There is a lot of clanking and the smell of metal and oil around here. It is just us working through the day. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the inventory is right. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we sit by the door where there is more light. It is a quiet life in many ways, just keeping track of nuts and bolts. Most people who live nearby know the spot well enough by now. It is just a regular shop on a regular road.
