Badriji Sweet & Namkeen

Badriji Sweet & Namkeen is situated in Gola Town, specifically near the Post Office right by Mela Maidan Gate No. 1. Our shop is a busy little place, especially when there are events going on at the maidan. We get started quite early in the morning to get the sweets ready and fry up the namkeen so everything is fresh for the first customers. The smell of sugar and spices usually fills the air around our entrance. It’s a very local spot, and we see the same faces every day, from people going to the post office to those just passing through the gate. We keep the counters stocked with various snacks, and the shelves are always full of containers. It isn’t a huge store, but we make use of every bit of space we have. There’s a lot of manual work involved, from stirring large pots to packaging everything up by hand. We don't use any fancy machines for most of it, just the old-fashioned way of doing things. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a large group comes in all at once, but we manage. The floor is usually a bit sticky and the kitchen stays hot, but that's just the nature of the business. We focus on getting the flavors right and making sure there’s enough for everyone who stops by. We just keep our heads down and keep the pans moving all day long.
