Dream India School-Lakhimpur

We are located in the Sankata Devi area of Lakhimpur Kheri. It is a familiar spot for most people living nearby. The school opens up early when the air is still a bit fresh. We see the kids coming in from different parts of town, some walking and others coming in on cycles. It’s a simple setup we have here. There are classrooms for different ages and a place for them to sit and eat. We spend a lot of time on the basics like math and language. The teachers live nearby so they know the families well. Sometimes the streets get crowded, especially during festivals because of the temple nearby, but we manage to keep things quiet inside the walls. The building is functional. We don't have a lot of extra stuff, just what is needed for the classes. In the afternoons, you can hear the kids reciting their lessons from the hallway. We have a routine that we stick to every day. When it rains, the sound on the roof is quite loud, but the kids don't seem to mind much. We just keep working through the textbooks. It’s a local place for local kids to learn. After the final bell, the gates open and everyone clears out pretty fast. It’s just how life is here in Lakhimpur. We try to keep things running smoothly despite the occasional power cut or rain storm. It is a humble place but it serves the town.
