Vimta Labs Ltd, Hyderabad

Working at Vimta Labs Ltd in the Nagaram area of Hyderabad means being part of a very specific routine. Our facility is located at Plot No 76 in Satyanarayana Colony, which is a bit of a trek for some of us, but we’ve gotten used to the commute. Inside, it’s all about the samples and the testing equipment. It’s a quiet environment compared to the streets outside in Kesars. We spend our shifts looking at results, calibrating machines, and making sure everything is recorded properly. It’s not the kind of job where you see a lot of excitement, but it’s steady work. Most of the staff here have been around for a long time, so we’ve become like a small family. We eat our lunch together and talk about things other than work just to keep our minds fresh. The lab itself is kept very clean, obviously, but the back office is a bit more chaotic with files and logbooks everywhere. Hyderabad’s weather sometimes makes the walk from the bus stop a bit of a chore, especially during the monsoon when the roads in Nagaram get a bit muddy. We just come in, put on our coats, and get to work on whatever has come in that morning. It’s a lot of repetition, but we know it needs to be done right. There’s no room for rushing when you’re dealing with the kind of work we do here. It's just a regular day at the lab.
