Record Assistant

This is our little office in Bapunagar, which is part of the Langarhouse area in Hyderabad. The house number is 9-1-34/30/67, it's a bit of a mouthful if you’re trying to tell someone the address over the phone. We mostly deal with records and paperwork, hence the name. It’s a lot of organizing, typing, and making sure files do not get lost. My name is Maruthi and I’ve been running things from here for a good while. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s fairly quiet except for when the school nearby lets out. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of people who are good with details. Sometimes the stacks of paper get a bit high, but we manage to get through them. It’s the kind of work that requires patience. People come to us when they are overwhelmed with their own documentation or need help sorting through old files. We do not use any fancy software or anything, just standard stuff that works. It’s practical work. Hyderabad is growing so fast, but this part of Langarhouse still feels like the old city in some ways. We like it that way. We aren't a big corporation, just a local service helping out people with their record-keeping needs. It keeps us busy and we like the feeling of finishing a big task and clearing off the desk at the end of the day.
