Madras Cements Ltd

We are situated on Mallreddy Road in Tandur, which is part of the Rangareddy district, 501141. It’s a rugged area and Madras Cements Ltd has a solid presence here. Tandur is known for its stone and construction materials, so we fit right in with the local landscape. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs and a big table where we spread out the delivery schedules. The roads around here can be a bit rough on the trucks, so we spend a lot of time talking to the mechanics and the drivers about the best routes to take. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the shift, most of us have a thin layer of gray on our clothes, but that’s just how it is. We don't have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just know that people need the cement for their houses and their shops, so we make sure it’s available. Most of our days are spent checking the weight of the loads and making sure the paperwork matches up. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for breaks. It’s a small community of workers and we all look out for each other. We don't do much in the way of promotion. If the gate is open, we are working. It is hard work, especially when the sun is out, but we are used to it by now.
