We work out of Plot No 6 in the Indraprastha 2nd Venture area of Hasthinapuram in Hyderabad. This is the logistics hub for Reliance Digital Retail Limited. Since it is a retail-focused operation, there is always something being moved, loaded, or unloaded from the back of a truck. The warehouse and office area are busy from early morning until late at night. Hyderabad is a big city and Hasthinapuram is tucked away enough that we have some space, but it’s still a scramble to get everything delivered on time. We handle the stock that goes out to the stores. There are boxes everywhere and the sound of tape dispensers is pretty much the soundtrack to our working day. We have a small crew here, mostly guys who know the city routes like the back of their hands. The paperwork can be a headache sometimes because there are so many different items to track in the system. We don’t have much in the way of decor, just functional shelves and some old wooden desks. It is a practical environment where the focus is on the inventory. People think logistics is just moving boxes, but there is a lot of standing around waiting for trucks and then rushing to finish when they finally arrive at the gate. It is a regular job with plenty of sweat and tea involved to keep things going smoothly every day.
