Krishna Auto Centre

Tagor Road is always packed with traffic, which makes sense for where we are at Plot No. 325. Being at Krishna Auto Centre means our hands are almost always covered in engine oil or dust from the road. Gandhidham gets incredibly dusty, so we are constantly sweeping the front of the shop, though it doesn't seem to help much. We’ve got stacks of old tires and parts boxes tucked into every corner of Ward No. 12/b. It's not the biggest space, but we make it work. The mail still comes to P. B. No. 77, even though most people just drop by in person. Most of the guys who bring their vehicles here have been coming since they bought their first scooter or truck. We don't have a waiting room with a TV; people usually just stand around and talk while we look under the hood. The ceiling fans have layers of grime on them, and the walls are stained from years of exhaust smoke. It’s a noisy spot with the horns honking outside on Tagor Road all day long. We start early before the sun gets too high and usually wrap things up once the street lights come on. It’s a lot of physical work, bending over engines and lifting heavy batteries, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep at it because the cars keep coming.
