Shree Ram Industries

Out here on the Bhuj-Bhachau Highway, things move pretty fast. Shree Ram Industries is located right across from the Joshi Petrol Pump in Madhapar. If you are driving towards Bhuj, you can't really miss the spot. It is a dusty area, which is typical for a place sitting right on the main highway. We spend most of our time out in the shed or the main yard. There is always some kind of machinery running or a truck pulling in to load up. It is not the quietest place to work, but we are used to the noise by now. We handle a lot of different industrial tasks. Most of the guys here live nearby in Navavas or the surrounding parts of Madhapar. We are a pretty tight group. We don't have a big office with air conditioning; we are mostly out where the work happens. Sometimes the heat in Bhuj gets a bit much, but we just take a break under the shade and keep going. Being near the petrol pump is handy for the transport side of things. We see a lot of travelers passing through, but we stay focused on the fabrication and the orders we have to finish. It is honest, heavy work. We do not worry about looking polished. As long as the machines are running and the jobs are getting done, we are satisfied. The days are long, but that is how life is on the highway.
