Things are usually pretty noisy here in Bhuj when the students start to arrive for the day. We run this academy because there was a real need for a place where people could actually learn something useful for their future. It started out very small, with just a few rooms and some old wooden benches. Now we have more kids coming in for different subjects throughout the week. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the actual teaching happens anyway. We do not do much advertising at all. People mostly hear about us from their neighbors or cousins. Bhuj is a tight-knit place, so news travels fast among the families. Some days are long, especially when exams are coming up and everyone is feeling a bit stressed out. I usually make sure the doors are open early in the morning. We do not have any fancy equipment, just some boards and chalk and books that have been used many times before. It is mostly about getting the work done and passing the tests. The students sit together and help each other out with the harder parts. Sometimes we have tea in the break, and that is when the real conversations happen between everyone. It is a basic setup. We are not trying to be a big university. Just a local spot for learning. The dust from the road gets inside sometimes, but we just sweep it out and keep going with the lessons. It is honest work for us.
