Pomal Medical

Pomal Medical is situated on Hospital Road. We are inside the Gayatri Complex. Since there are a lot of doctors and clinics nearby, we stay pretty busy most of the time. People come out of their appointments and walk straight into our shop. It’s a good spot to be in. The Gayatri Complex itself is quite old and has a lot of other small businesses. Our shop is small but we pack a lot into it. We have medicines for almost everything on the shelves. Sometimes the aisles feel a bit cramped when it's raining and people are inside with their umbrellas. I usually work the counter myself. It’s a lot of standing and reaching for boxes all day long. We don't have a fancy cooling system, just the open door and some old fans. It gets noisy with all the cars and ambulances on Hospital Road, but you get used to it. We have a few assistants who help with the inventory and cleaning. We aren't a corporate pharmacy with uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like human beings. If a customer is worried about their medicine, we take a minute to talk to them. It’s just the way it is here. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just rely on being in a good location and being around for years. It’s a steady business and we like it.
