Jay Baloj Gruh Udhyog

So, Jay Baloj Gruh Udhyog is located in Adipur, out here in Kutch. We are at Plot No.299 in Pachotam Nagar. It’s a bit of a quiet neighborhood mostly, with houses and small businesses mixed together. Being a Gruh Udhyog, we keep things pretty simple and traditional. The space isn’t very large, so we have to stay organized or we would run out of room to move. We handle everything from the cleaning of raw materials to the final sealing of the packets. Often, you’ll see family members helping out because there is always something that needs doing. The weather in Kutch can be really dry and hot, so we try to get the heaviest work done in the early morning hours. We have some basic machinery to help with the processing, but a lot of it is still done by hand. We use plastic bins to store everything and keep it fresh. There’s a specific way we like to do things that hasn't changed much over the years. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or big advertisements. We just focus on the bags we are filling today. Neighbors sometimes drop by to pick things up directly from us. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and work through the piles of stock until the sun goes down and it’s time to lock the gate for the night.
