Jaldip Lodge

Mandvi is a nice place to be, and our lodge is tucked away on Nanalal Vora Marg. It’s a bit quieter back here since we are situated behind Shital Guest House. We aren't a big hotel with a lobby or a gym. Jaldip Lodge is more for the traveler who just needs a decent place to sleep for the night without spending too much. We have a handful of rooms. They are basic, with a bed, a fan, and a place to put your bags. I spend most of my time at the small desk near the entrance. You get a mix of people coming through—some are here for business in the port, others are just passing through Kutch. The sea air can be a bit salty, so we have to stay on top of the maintenance. It’s an old building, and it has its quirks. Sometimes the plumbing is a bit loud or a door creaks, but it’s homey in its own way. We don't offer room service or anything like that. There are plenty of places to eat nearby if you walk toward the main road. We just provide the keys and a bit of peace and quiet. We've been part of the Mandvi community for years now. My family helps out with the cleaning and making sure guests have what they need. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do fancy advertising. Most people find us by walking the back streets or hearing about us from someone else.
