Shri Gandhidham Grain Kiryana Retail

We run this retail spot in Gandhidham, using shops D-46, 47, and 48. It’s a bigger space than some of the other shops around because we need the room for all the grain sacks and grocery items. Shri Gandhidham Grain Kiryana Retail is a local business where families come to get their monthly supplies. The air always smells like spices and raw rice, which is something you get used to quickly. We have stacks of lentils, flour, and sugar everywhere you look. It can be a bit chaotic when several customers come in at once, especially on the weekends. We don't have any self-service aisles; we mostly weigh things out for people behind the counter. My brothers and I handle the heavy lifting and the accounts. The building is older but it keeps the rain off the stock, which is what matters. We've been in this part of Gandhidham for many years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s not a supermarket with bright lights, just a traditional kiryana store. We try to keep the shelves stocked, but sometimes the supply trucks are late and we have to tell people to come back the next day. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bags around and keeping things clean, but it’s our life. We usually sit out on the grain bags during the slow hours in the afternoon.
