You can find our shop at D-83, 84, and 85 in Gandhidham, Kachchh. It’s a row of shops where we make and sell different kinds of sweets. Shikarpuri Mithaiwala has been a part of the local scene for a long time. People around here know us for the traditional stuff we put out every day. The kitchen stays busy starting early in the morning, and the smell of sugar and ghee usually fills the whole block. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even if we have staff helping out. We don’t have any fancy posters or a marketing team telling us what to do. We just make the sweets the way they’ve always been made. The shop gets really crowded during the festival seasons, and sometimes it feels like we can barely keep up with the demand. We have some benches for people to sit, but most just grab their boxes and head home. The heat in Kachchh can be intense, so we try to keep the shop as cool as possible for the sweets and the customers. It’s a simple business. We aren't trying to be a national chain; we just like being the local spot where people get their treats. Sometimes we run out of a certain item before the day is over, and we just tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s honest and straightforward, just like the town of Gandhidham itself.
