Laxmi Motors

Laxmi Motors is right on the National Highway in Gandhidham. We are in our own building at Plot No. 20, and our mailing address is P. B. No. 165. It is a pretty dusty spot because of all the heavy trucks passing by on their way to the port, but that is just how it is in Kachchh. We have been here since this stretch of the highway was much quieter than it is now. The sun beats down on the pavement out front for most of the year. Inside the building, it is a bit cooler, though the smell of grease and engine oil is always in the air. It is a busy place to work. Drivers are always stopping in, parts are being moved around, and the phone in the back office never seems to stop ringing. We do not have any time for fancy talk or marketing. We just fix what is broken or find the right parts for the customers who need them. The building has seen better days, and maybe it needs some repairs, but we are usually too busy with the motors to worry about the appearance of the place. People know exactly where we are because of our location on the highway. We have a small, dedicated crew who really knows their stuff. We do not rely on computers for everything; sometimes a handwritten ledger is just faster. It is an old-school way of doing things, but it keeps the motors running and the drivers happy.
