About Ashapura Vasan Bhandar – Food & Beverages in Kutch
Vatli Bazar is a crowded place, and our shop, N-75, is right in the middle of all that action in Gandhidham. We sell kitchenware, mostly stainless steel stuff like pots, pans, and those big containers people use for storage. If you walk through the market, you can hear the clanking of metal coming from our stacks. We have piles of plates and spoons everywhere, and sometimes it feels like a maze just trying to walk to the back of the store. The locals know us well because we’ve been here in Kachchh for quite some time. It’s not a fancy showroom; it’s a traditional bhandar where everything is piled high. People come in looking for a specific size of tiffin or a new kadai for their kitchen. We spend our days helping customers find the right weight and quality for their home. It gets really busy during festival seasons when everyone wants to buy new utensils. The floor is usually covered in cardboard from new shipments arriving. We don't do much advertising because the word of mouth in the bazaar is enough to keep us busy. It’s a simple life, selling things that every household needs. We just open up in the morning, dust off the displays, and wait for the first customer to wander in from the street. I guess sometimes the heat in the market is a bit much, but we have a small fan that helps.
