Doctor Navubha Sodha is located out in Bhuj, specifically in the village area within the Kutch district. Being in a village in Kutch means we see a lot of people who have lived here their whole lives. The surroundings are mostly open land and the air is quite dry most of the year. Our place is easy to find if you are familiar with the local paths around the 370001 area. It isn't a massive facility with glass walls or anything like that. It's just a sturdy building where we can see patients and talk to them about their health. Most mornings start early because people in the village are up with the sun. We get folks coming in from the nearby fields or from the small houses down the road. Sometimes they bring their whole families along. Dealing with the dust and the heat is just part of the daily routine for us. We spend a lot of time just listening to what people have to say. There is no rush here like you find in Ahmedabad or Mumbai. We take things as they come. The work is steady and it feels good to be a part of the local community. It is a simple setup but it works for what we need to do every day.
