Dharam Patola Art

Our workshop for Dharam Patola Art is out on SuralBhit Road, specifically at Plot No. 69/70 in Anjani Nagar. It’s a good location because we are quite close to Bhujia Hill. You can see the hill from nearby, which is a nice landmark for people trying to find us. The road can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, but it leads right to our gate. Inside, you’ll hear the sounds of work going on most of the time. We aren’t located in a big shopping mall or a busy downtown street. It’s more of a quiet, industrial-feeling area where people actually make things. I spend most of my hours here checking on the different stages of the art. It takes a lot of patience and the light in the building is important, so we have big windows. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, but we just sweep it out and keep going. It’s a family-oriented sort of place. My cousins or brothers are often around helping out. We don’t have a professional receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to answer it. People come to us when they want to see the real work happening. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city center, but the air is a bit clearer out here near the hill. We just keep our heads down and do the work, day in and day out, without much fuss.
