Asia Motor Work

Asia Motor Work is out on the Bhuj - Bhachau Road, right at the 34 km milestone. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s a good spot for drivers who get into trouble on the highway. We spend most of our time covered in grease and oil. The shop isn't much to look at, just a big open space with tools scattered around and some old tires piled up in the corner. We mostly work on trucks and heavy vehicles that pass by, but we take a look at cars too if someone stops. The sun gets really hot out here on the road, so we usually have a fan running in the small office area. There is always the sound of wrenches clanking and engines revving up. We have been at this same spot for years, and the highway has changed a lot around us. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for parts to arrive from the city, so things can get backed up. We don't have any fancy waiting rooms, just a wooden bench outside under the shade. It is tough work and our hands are never really clean, but it’s how we make a living. Drivers know they can find us here at the 34 km mark when their engine starts making a weird noise or a tire blows out. It's just simple repair work in a dusty roadside garage.
